(or these days, help out with the rent…)
I’ve been toying around with the idea of writing novellas (25-50K words) going into each one of my past characters’ lives and what happened to them after the published story ended, sort of like, what if Ali were to run into Miguel again, five years after they met in Cuba? What’s he up to these days? What’s she up to? Is she in a relationship? Would it survive an encounter with Miguel?…

Thank you - I’m a little nervous about the bookclub thing, I have to admit… I plan on bringing along a bottle of champagne to get the girls in a more “receptive”mood!

And I’ve never heard of Cristiano Ronaldo but now he is on my radar! What a handsome man!
And I took your poll. I like the idea of having more info about characters from your books. I do have a Kindle and I’m finding that I actually prefer reading on it rather than reading paper books! Can you imagine? So I think it is a great “value added” for your readers. If I was really interested in a subject, I would probably buy a novella. : )

Unfortunately, as hot as Cristiano is, he is also conceited – that comes from his hotness AND his talent – he’s considered the second best football player in the world (don’t ask me how I know this).
Thanks for your feedback on the Kindle! It seems destined to catch on, though even I’m a bit incredulous at this stage (of course, I also stubbornly hung onto tapes and my Sony walkman far, far longer than it was acceptable to do so… convenience beats out nostalgia every time!)
