Definitely a move away from the ‘chick’ covers we’re warned are taking a nosedive, but I do love that blue water so… very vacation-y, wouldn’t you say? Now I just have to cross my fingers and hope Barnes & Noble, Borders, Chapters, Indigo et al. like it too…

I love it! And love the what happens in Cuba line… I think the Cuban setting will intrigue many Americans because they can’t (technically) visit there.

It’s very eye-catching, which is a good thing because you want as many people as possible to swipe it off the shelf and run to the checkout counter shouting at the top of their lungs, “This is going to be the greatest book ever! Everybody get a copy before they all run out!”

I wasn’t too sure about it when I first saw it as a draft, but now that I’ve got the actual book up on the bookshelf next to the rest, I love everything about it… the cover, the spine… everything. I’ve learned my lesson: the marketing department does indeed know best.
